A Long Break

It has been a while since I have sat down to blog. So many things happening at once, it is hard to catch my breath and hard to even find time to slow down and process. We recently experienced the unexpected death of a neighbor. His son is a constant playmate to Griffin and Fletcher and while nothing that we have experienced can even start to compare to the grief that the family is going through - it was an event that broke our hearts.

Looking for the silver lining, it made me thankful for our neighborhood. I was so proud and amazed at how people helped out and were so generous. Our neighborhood really acted like a caring and loving community should and it blessed me to see the outpouring and kindness towards this special family.

And it reminded me to be grateful for our family and hug Chris and the kids. Live each moment being thankful and kind and appreciative of the beautiful family God has given me.
