I was thrilled to find out that our community was having an electronic recycling day. Anyone that has tried to get rid of an old computer knows how difficult it is - so they tend to stack up in some dark corner of the basement. I took an old computer, a printer and 2 old TV's (they were about 20 years old and they were our only TVs until last year. And we even had the bunny ears to go with them! When we got our new ones our babysitter exclaimed, "Oh my gosh - you have moved into the modern world!).Imagine my surprise when we arrived to find the line of cars around the corner and down the street - it was a very long wait! And then when we finally arrived at one of the 8 drop off points (this thing was very organized!) - we were met by a MOUNTAIN of TVs and computers!!! How can we possibly just throw away this stuff that costs THOUSANDS of dollars a few years ago?
