Being the only girl saves Piper from falling into the neglected 3rd child category. And since this was the first week that we have been sans brothers (who are busy learning to count by 2's in school), I announced it was GIRL WEEK!! I am still learning how to be a "Girl Mom". We started by getting her nails done, went to dance class, made a few trips to the park and ended the week by sending her off to preschool. A girly time was had by all.
YAY! Sounds like a fabulous 'Girl Week'! Love it! You and Keitha are always so good about turning things into celebrations with your children and making lasting memories. You are good inspiration for me...
Why? This is the question that has kept me from blogging - why do this? What is the real purpose? Is it vain? Who really cares about these little mundane things? What could be so inspiring about my life that I should put it into cyberspace?
The answer to this question came to me last night when I read some friend's blogs - it is these tiny mundane things that make up the beauty of my life. Some day I will forget how much I love walking Fletch to school, how much joy I get out of watching the kids bike and ride scooters and struggle to read a beginner reader book or sitting under the pergola talking with Chris and I know that in a couple of years Piper will not be caught dead dancing around in a tutu - and these are the things that I really treasure in my life right now. Pearl Bailey said, "People see God everyday, they just don't recognize Him." I hope this blog will help me see God's love in my husband, in my children and in the many blessings I have!
