The Thankful Jar

Griffin and Piper helped me decorate The Thankful Jar (it actually says that taped on the jar, but I must admit with all the decorating it is a little difficult to read). The plan is for people to fill the jar with notes of things that they are thankful for and then we will read them together at Thanksgiving. Griffin's first note said he was thankful for all his stuffed animals and Piper followed suit by saying she was thankful for her blankie and pillow. I guess this is better than the paper I found in Griffin's backpack where he had written, "I am thankful for my dead fish."

Can't wait to see what other entries end up in the jar! And most of all, I hope that God will give ME a heart of gratitude and thankfulness every day - not just on Thanksgiving!

Very cute idea. I can't wait 'till my kids can write sweet notes like this, Cam.

I emailed Kelly. I am happy to add papers to her blog. My computer crashed and I lost my scrapbook software to do custom headings though.

We stole this same idea from Keitha, but we have a "Thankful Basket". :)
It is so cute when Grace tells us what she is thankful for and to "Wite it 'own, Mommy!"
