Just 30 minutes away in downtown Denver, but light years away from a house with 3 kids and a pile of laundry. For a last minute get away, six of us met at the Hotel Monaco for wine, cake, shopping (and let this be a warning to you - NEVER shop after having wine!) more wine, more cake and lots of laughing.
And how were things when I returned home? Children were HAPPY,
LAUNDRY WAS DONE (thanks to Chris, Mr. Wonderful, who gets that name by being wonderful) and I was relaxed and ready to tackle the week as a single mom (Chris left for CA on Monday).
